On May 14, 2025, construction of the new secondary school in Görlitz began with a ceremonial groundbreaking. Representatives from politics, administration, schools, and planning celebrated the start of the project. Our team is responsible for the complete building design in service phases 1 to 9.

A modern educational campus for up to 330 students is being built on the site of the former slaughterhouse. Two listed buildings will be incorporated. The educational concept follows the cluster model with open learning areas, quiet spaces, and digital equipment.

What makes this construction project special is that although the new building has four floors, it blends harmoniously into the overall picture thanks to its careful integration into the existing old buildings. By weaving the listed buildings into the start of the complex, a subtle gradation with a pleasant scale is created to the northwest, despite the building's size. Carefully placed views and vistas create an exciting interplay between old and new.

Commissioning is planned for September 2028. We are very much looking forward to the further course of the project.
