On Friday, May 23, 2025, the ceremonial handover of the comprehensively renovated high school took place in Zschopau.

After around five years of planning and construction, the listed school building was officially handed over. Saxony's Minister of Culture Conrad Clemens, District Administrator of the Erzgebirge district Rico Anton, and Zschopau's Mayor Arne Sigmund also took part in the ceremony and praised the commitment of all those involved.

The renovation focused in particular on fire protection measures and the preservation of the listed building fabric. iproplan® was responsible for the planning and implementation of all technical building equipment – from modern heating, ventilation, and sanitary technology to electrical and lighting systems and safety-related fire alarm technology.

Despite some considerable structural challenges and pandemic-related restrictions, the project was successfully completed. The technical infrastructure has been made future-proof and now makes an important contribution to a safe and modern school environment. A big thank you to the entire team responsible for their commitment.
