Nor did we ask ourselves what a bridge must look like in order to “win.” Instead, we asked what it must look like to truly belong to Dresden.

What emerges from the structural forces of the supporting framework requires no ornamentation. The minimalist design language of our proposal is not only visually compelling but was also evaluated by the expert panel as the most economical solution among all submitted designs.

With the Carola Promenade and the Elbe Balcony, a new place is being created. With views of the Old Town, the Elbe River, and the Elbe meadows.
