VBI President Jörg Thiele reelected

05 November 2021

Jörg Thiele was re-elected VBI President at the VBI Association Conference in Saarbrücken on 5 November.

"We want to further sharpen our profile as a trade association in order to develop more charisma beyond the professional public," emphasised the re-elected President: "We are pushing for an HOAI amendment in 2022 and an award decree that public clients may only award contracts according to HOAI. We demand from the federal government to fully maintain the investment funds of the municipalities, to compensate for the loss of trade tax through Corona. And we demand climate protection through innovation and investment, but not through bans and paternalism."

The President will be supported by Dr Peter Warnecke and Jörgen Kopper as VBI Vice Presidents for the next three years.
With Christina Zimmermann, the female engineers in the association are also represented for the first time with a seat and vote on the Federal Board.
Daniel Lambrecht was also newly elected to the VBI Board.
The VBI top committee is completed by the re-elected board members Maximilian Grauvogel, Dr. Mark Husmann and Stephan Weber.
