The symbolic excavator lift officially marked the start of construction of the new maintenance workshop. Technical Director Ronald Juhrs and representatives of the consortium were present at the site.

As part of an internal LVB presentation, all employees at the site then had the opportunity to talk to each other and get a virtual impression of the future workshop by watching a project video and a VR presentation.

At the same time, the first site clearance and preparations got underway. The new building is a key step towards modern, efficient public transport in Leipzig.
