On September 24th, the solemn cornerstone ceremony for the new construction of house 1 at the hospital “Heinrich-Braun-Klinikum” in Zwickau takes place.
The new construction of house 1 is another big milestone in the framework of a consequent implementation of the long-term planning for the location in Zwickau. Almost all medical disciplines will be structured within one axis and connected via a central connecting building with the envisaged commissioning in the year 2023. The HBK itself invests about € 36 million for the construction. An investment aimed at the two clinics for internal medicine / geriatrics and internal medicine V (pneumology, pneumological oncology, respiratory medicine and sleeping disorders). The different disciplines currently are being spread over the surroundings with a growing need for more space. The new construction will be a significant relief for employees and patients.
