Groundbreaking ceremony for the new “eins Energie” headquarters

07 May 2019

In the inner city of Chemnitz, a new head office is being built for the local energy supplier “eins energie in sachsen GmbH & Co. KG”. In the presence of head mayor Barbara Ludwig, the groundbreaking ceremony for the building’s construction works took place on 3rd May (including the insertion of a time capsule). The new structure will be built on a surface of 5,700 m2 and is located at the corner of “Bahnhofstraße” and “Johannisplatz” under the responsibility of the project developer FAY Projects GmbH from Mannheim in cooperation with TCHOBAN VOSS Architects and the contractor Köster GmbH.

In summer 2021, the “eins” employees will be able to move into the six-story office and commercial building providing a gross floor area of around 13,500 m2. Another 5,500 m2 will be used by a hotel and smaller retail stores. A two-story underground car park and a parking garage will provide 350 parking lots for employees, customers and guests.
