The "BioSquare Leipzig" technology campus: buildings with maximum flexibility are being constructed here, offering space for offices and laboratories, biotechnological facilities as well as training and conference areas.

The particular challenge of the project lies in the high demands placed on the interior fit-out, as the biotechnology company "c-LEcta" requires extensive and very sensitive technical equipment to be installed. Equally challenging is the short construction period due to the contractually agreed rental start date.

According to the client, completion of component A is scheduled for April 2025 when the "c-Lecta" company moves into the building. There are currently no tenants for component B - therefore no complete planning.

Components I-A and I-B will also undergo sustainability certification. The client is aiming for DGNB Gold certification. The project is being handled by the Real Estate Consulting department.

The special feature is that, in addition to office space, Building I-A also has laboratory space and the certification is therefore based on the new laboratory building usage profile of the BNB (Assessment System for Sustainable Building) criteria catalog.

The conformity test for the pre-certificate in gold was successfully completed for Building I-A in November - an important milestone in the certification process. Due to ongoing coordination with potential tenants, it has not yet been conclusively clarified which uses the building will have (e.g. only office and administration) and which usage profile will therefore come into play for component I-B.
