On the occasion of this year's Day of Architecture Saxony, the new building of the swimming pool with teaching and therapy pool at the Dr.-Lothar-Kreyssig-Förderschule in Flöha was opened to the public. Our colleague and lead architect Benjamin took the visitors into the areas otherwise hidden from the public, explained the technical installations, talked about the design, coordination with the school during planning, and anecdotes from the construction phase. "A special feature of the new building was that we docked here to the listed existing school and adapted the building to the use with a focus on students with disabilities."

"The fact that the children of the special school, some of whom have severe disabilities, can get to the teaching pool so easily and quickly is also due in particular to the fact that the entire project team around Benjamin not only listened to the advice from the school, but also took it into account"- says principal Hans Fischer.

A big THANK YOU to Benjamin for his commitment also on this day. His personal commitment contributed to the fact that the visitors had a nice experience and could get to know the architecture in a very special way.
